Autogenic training in VR

With this research project the Virtual Reality Laboratory of the University of Siena (LAB VR) intends to study the reactions of subjects engaged in autogenic training activities in Virtual Reality contexts.

Autogenic training is a relaxation technique which consists in voluntarily self-inducing the psychophysical responses typical of quiet states, and is a practice used to address conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD.

The aim of the project is to understand if an appropriately developed immersive environment is able to enhance the effect of self-induced relaxation techniques.
