The Tanners’ Association and the Tanners’ Consortium have entrusted LabVR UNISI with the project “Implementation of Virtual Reality for Workplace Safety and Health and Training in the Tanning Sector.”
The project aims to develop a Virtual Reality (VR) tool to improve occupational safety and health, reducing risks, and providing an advanced training environment for tanning industry workers (Ateco Code 15.11.00) and for students of technical and professional institutes in the Santa Croce sull’Arno Tanning District, potential future workers in this sector.
The project is funded under the “Safe Tannery: Implementation of Virtual Reality” Implementation Agreement, signed on May 27, 2025, by INAIL – Tuscany Region, the Tanners’ Association, and the Tanners’ Consortium.
